Missing Blackburn man’s body found in canal

Missing Blackburn mans body found in canal liverpool canal Liverpool leeds liverpool canal leeds investigations Herchell Street Fielding Crescent crescent circumstances Cheery Tree Police have recovered the body of a man from the Leeds to Liverpool canal near Cheery Tree earlier today.

An appeal had previously been launched for Andrew O’Neil of Fielding Crescent, Blackburn who had not been seen since leaving home on Sunday. His car was found parked on Herchell Street yesterday and although the body recovered from the canal has yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of Mr O’Neil and his family have been informed.

It is not yet known the circumstances of his death and investigations are continuing.
