Three men caught on CCTV whilst attempting burglaries in Blackburn

Three men have been caught on CCTV in Blackburn whilst trying to break into houses in Blackburn on Wednesday of this week.

On the 12th of September 2012 between 2pm and 2:30pm, three properties, two on Mavis Road and one on Sunnybank Road were targeted.

The offenders have tried to force entry at each of the addresses but have been disturbed by the occupants on each occasion.

It is believed the offenders were using a red Vauxhall Astra car which officers believe may be using cloned number plates.

Officers investigating have appealed for information and have issued CCTV images in a bid to try and trace the people responsible.

Sergeant Eric Halford of Blackburn police said, “From our enquiries so far, we believe that there may be links to the Bolton and Wigan areas of Greater Manchester and so I would also appeal to people in those areas, as well as people in Blackburn to come forward and contact us if they have any information that they think might help.”
