No Wind Farm

The Ribble Valley is not the place for a wind farm

The recent campaign against the creation of a wind farm in the form of 3 large turbines in between Wilpshire and Langho at  land at the Carr Hall Garden Centre, has attracted much publicity in the local media. A recent public meeting attracted several hundred people, with all speakers against the creation of this wind farm.

The impact of the 46 metre high turbines on the Ribble Valley is said by campaigners to be detrimental to the environment, health, wildlife, business, tourism and green belt land.

Blackburn Life also believe that these turbines are out of keeping with the Ribble Valley and we should do everything we can to preserve the beauty and unique character of the countryside on our doorstep.

The “No Ribble Valley Wind Farm” logo is also available on our facebook page, for you to show your support for the campaign and share with your facebook friends. Visit target=”_blank”>www.facebook.com/blackburnlife
