Darwen pensioner charged with 20 sexual offences against children two girls Sexual Offences Prevention Order sexual offences sexual assault sexual activity pensioner James Joseph Corbett indecent assault girls Blackburn Magistrates Court Ashton Road A Darwen pensioner who was was made the subject of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order after police found photographs of children on his phone earlier in the year, has now been charges with 20 counts of sexual offences against children.

James Joseph Corbett, formerly of Ashton Road, Darwen but currently in HMP Preston, is accused of offences including rape, gross indecency, indecent assault, sexual touching and incitement.

The offences are alleged to have occurred between 1969 and 2011 and relate to nine female victims aged between seven and 16 years old.

In addition Corbett was also charged earlier this year with five further offences of sexual assault, penetration and incitement to sexual activity against two girls aged 15 and 16.

This means he is facing a total of 25 charges.

He is due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates Court on Monday, 3 September 2012.
