Youths damage school roof in “free running” stunt in Darwen

Police are appealing for information about youths who are suspected of using the roof of a Darwen school for the craze of “free running”.

Two youths are believed to have used the roof of St Peters Primary School on Turncroft Road, Darwen at around 8pm on Tuesday 26th June for the craze of “free running”.

They have caused damage to the roof tiles of the school and the police are keen to speak to witnesses or anyone who knows who the vandals are.

Darwen PCSO Stuart Knowles said: “Running on roofs not only causes damage which the school can ill afford to repair, but is also highly dangerous.

“I would appeal to anybody that knows the people responsible or with any information that could assist with our investigation to come forward. “

Anyone with any information should call Lancashire Police on 101.
