Two men who ran a sophisticated cannabis factory in Blackburn have been jailed today at Preston Crown Court.
Tan Dang, 39 and Bay Nguyen, 36, both of no fixed abode, ran a sophisticated operation at a house they rented on Woodbine Road, using thousands of pounds worth of equipment to grow the plants.
Police discovered the 250 plants worth an estimated £100,000 in the upstairs bedroom at the address on 12 June 2012 after a number of complaints from the local community.
DI Mark Winstanley said: “People who cultivate cannabis need to know they will be caught and will more than likely face a lengthy prison sentence.
“It is with thanks to information from members of the local community that we were
able to take this action and prevent a significant amount of cannabis from reaching the streets of Blackburn.”
